The underlying need for more specifics on pairwise distances was reinforced by user interview -- see #85

Punchlist:

[x] Check that the heatmap coloring isn't reversed
[x] Replace the "showing N/N samples" text with "choose samples" button (float over svg)
[x] Replace popper with modal so they can't change clade while selecting samples
[x] Check that the heatmap is actually rerendering when filteredData is updated
[ ] Move state to globals
