It came to my attention some time ago that extest is eventually expected to be added into nixpkgs. It's not merged yet, so this Flake is still probably the most convenient way for most Nix users to use extest for now.
If NixOS/nixpkgs#269881 is ever accepted, I plan to add a deprecation warning to the Flake with instructions for migrating to the new package. Up until that happens, I plan to continue maintaining this flake as usual.
