Could an “Erase” button be added? Then maybe the default could be that no erase is done upon Apply for the bifurcation, unless Erase is clicked first. That way the user can see the effect on the bifurcation points of dropping more/fewer packets, taking more fewer peaks, more fewer steps, etc.
