Grass distance and Tree Distance #143

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

In some tracks, grass and HQ trees are drawn to longer distances with same
settings.

This happen in: G2-Coast and J13-Tropics

Is this seriously an issue ? What's bad because of it ? They look better.
Tree impostors distance (this determines it) is set for each track in editor.
But I could then make a setting in graphics to have a smaller value from the
track one and form gui setting ?

And you have always the range for grass and trees in graphics tab vegetation.

About grass, with distance 7.0 in most tracks is +-100m but on these two
+-300m+. I never see this in any other games.

Ok. G2 and J13 had grDist="160", I've set it to 100.
I've also changed 40's to 60.
So now grDist varies from 60 to 100 on all tracks (Test1-Flat is different).
Oh so you drive with grass distance = 7 ? Maybe I should then up the range,
since it's 4 max in Gui.
I think also a setting in Gui for impostors distance could be better than the
one in each scene.xml.

Also changed trDistImp from 1600 to 1200 on G1, G2.
I just remembered there is 7 max in range. More is problematic since it can
crash game running out of memory, which I don't know how to check.
