Level selection is confusing

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Press Single race from main menu
2.Scroll through levels and pick one nice looking
3.Press New Game

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected a new game with previously selected track. Instead the selection isn't 
changed.

Please provide any additional information below.
Why there is a Select Level button? In my opinion just selecting level from the 
list should choose it automatically.
