yes, we were pulling them in from Sean's public photo drive.
I removed the page from the navigation.
Good idea.

Page still exists though.

Would like to discuss options here.
Hope it's ok if I jump in here! I guess it depends on what we want to accomplish with them. If we wanted to use them during the event to just to post to social media, then maybe we don't need to keep them on the website. (Do we have an Instagram?) But if we wanted to use them to help build community around and promote future CHAOSSCON events, maybe we could use a few of them on the pages of future CHAOSSCONs. Maybe a collage like at the bottom of this page, just for an example?
No, we do not have Instagram (that I know of) — instaCHAOSS? CHAOSSinsta? CHAOSSgram? CHAOSSphoto?
I do think the purpose is for building community and I like your suggestions.
I like the idea of sharing photos via Instagram. I think these were simply connected to Sean's Flickr acct(maybe). He was taking nice photos at the events.
Sean takes a lot of photos. Regardless of what we decide to do with the photos (website and/or Instagram), It would be nice to have a shared place to collect community photos. I think this is something that needs to be curated though.
Have you done a social media audit to decide whether Instagram is the best option? I feel like the images could have a place in a lot of spots and Instagram is intensely visual so if only one or two people are participating it may not work as well as if you were to put them on twitter and embed them in to twitter moments for various conventions?
If you want to start an Instagram though, I would def. follow :)

does the organisation have an instagram yet? i'm an aspiring candidate for GSoC'21 and I would like to implement the photo display feature.
There hasn't been any movement on this idea so I am closing
