More information

I saw a request for gcc-git before, and it was marked as added, but I don't see it in the repo. Also thunar-git is great for people who want a lightweight file manager, which is why I recommended it to be added along a few of it dependencies.

gcc-git was requested in https://github.com/chaotic-aur/packages/issues/869, but it seems it was withdrawn before it made it into a routine

Technetium1 commented 2 years ago

exo-git failed at first: checking for libxfce4util-1.0 >= 4.17.2... found, but 4.16.0

@SolarAquarion mentioned long ago that thunar-git depends on -git versions, this is still true. However libxfce4util-git is flagged right now.

nyabinary commented 2 years ago

How easy would the fix be? The comments mention that they just have to revert the PKGBUILD to the previous PKGBUILD ver.

Technetium1 commented 2 years ago

Probably not too hard. SolarAquarion is the maintainer, so I mentioned to bring it to their attention.

SolarAquarion commented 2 years ago

If you want to help, I always seek co-maintainers

Made a PKGBUILD for libxfce4util-git that hopefully fixed the issue (still new to this lmao) PKGBUILD.txt

SolarAquarion commented 2 years ago

what is your name on the aur

nyabinary commented 2 years ago

@SolarAquarion It's: 'Vextium' (without quote)

Technetium1 commented 1 year ago

@VexfulNiko you seem to be added as the co-maintainer now :smiley:

nyabinary commented 1 year ago

I have, recommend any helpers/manager tools to simplify the process of pushing a package?

Technetium1 commented 1 year ago

@VexfulNiko There already exist tools to make life easier, like updpkgsums from pacman-contrib https://nerden.de/updating_aur_package/

nyabinary commented 1 year ago

libxfce4util fixed upstream BTW finally got around updating glibc and this package

Technetium1 commented 1 year ago

I definitely did not mean to do that.
