Unfortunately it's impossible for us to add this, since the dependency ezquake requires retail .pak
files that we can't get, and even if we could, we wouldn't be able to redistribute them...
AFAIK you can just use pak0.pak and tell users to supply pak1.pak, since pak0.pak is shareware. The windows installer does precisely that. AFAIK distributing shareware is encouraged by shareware devs,
I flagged ezquake out of date, let's see what happens when there's a new version ready...
You might want to tell the upstream devs about this problem. The problem being you apparently can't distribute the shareware version, but ezquake requires the retail pak files.
Pro tip: try compiling with GCC 9 if the update doesn't fix the compilation. ezquake-git never had this issue.
You can find pak0.pak here @ https://github.com/rictorres/quake-ktx-server/blob/master/id1/pak0.pak. pak0 is shareware. pak1 is illegal to distribute.
How big are those files?
How big are those files?
17.4 MB for pak0.pak
and pak1.pak
's size doesn't matter since chaotic can't distribute them anyway. The mission packs have pak0, pak1, and pak2, which are illegal to distribute anyway. I linked to the one from the base game.
