Chapel Lang - Integration of 4 databases and 30-40 other programming langages, where to start ! #11384

Hello.

I am autist/asperger. I think that I can use Chapel as "host" langage for the other 30-40 "guest" langages, and I need some databases integrations too. Now I am using these in a disorder fashion; That is good, but on ly for me, and the code become gradualy not so clear. So I think that if I REALLY USE chapel and that my need is confirmed through my developpements, I can PROBABLY pull that off the hat.

So : 1) Please provide a list of some of your needs, I will not do everything, but I may do some if it is in my interest.

Integration only, no debug for the moment. 2) WHERE DO I START, for the integration please ? (I am not familiar with the code yet of chapel yet) 3) I prefer EMBEDDED for the host if possible, I don't want to take 2 seconds for execute a command per iterations per locales.

I will add my own list later. I am at work now.

++ Thanks by advance. Best Regards. Benjamin.

Hi @lipere123. I'm happy you're interested in contributing. Generally speaking the gitter channel or mailing list might be better places to have a more open-ended discussion about what to contribute. And, for new contributors, following along to the suggestions at https://chapel-lang.org/contributing.html can really help make it go more smoothly.

In any case, I'll list some of what I know that is related.
