My kludge is horrible. Dreadful. The absolute worst. The code version of

• stepping on Lego bricks
• someone passing you your eyeglasses, but not by the frame
• spilling coffee on a white shirt
• your roommate leaving just enough milk in the carton so that it would be wasteful to throw out, but not enough to fill an actual glass
• dropping your spoon into a bowl of soup
• the local cultists attempting to summon an eldritch horror beyond human comprehension on your day off
• microwaving fish
