Recommended VNs discussion #6

Here are some I would suggest. It also depends on how many VNs we want to have in that category of course

Pinkfag commented 1 year ago

Mostly agree, Kinkoi I haven't read yet and PE I dropped but I know there are anons that like it so it has to be doing something right. Hatsukoi is very volatile though; I definitely think we should attach descriptions to any VNs we recommend, sort of as a heads up for what the user will be getting into. Some for Asa Project and maybe even Smee, the humor in those can probably be very hit or miss. I think Aokana, Daito, and one of the more action focused Yuzuge (DR/RJ) would be very safe all-around choices.

I think either we should write up some descriptions or source it from /vn/ when it's not full of shitposting and trolling. I don't trust VNDB descriptions much for convincing people which VN they should read, as they usually just explain the background setting

Also I've been updating the readme with (good) comments left by /vn/ anons, we can consider using those as well

Pinkfag commented 1 year ago

Left a bunch of comments in a couple of places, hope you're able to read through them all

Think i'm mostly done with the chart for now, let me know if there's anything else we should add. If you want to contact me, I'll probably still stick around the threads for a bit longer, unless they get really bad again soon. Or if you want, feel free to add me on discord. I don't really check this gh account or the email tied regularly.

I just checked out the new stuff and I'm really happy with how everything turned out, thanks a lot for the work. As I said I don't know a lot about web development so making something like this would've taken me much longer. Discord is okay. How do we go about that?

Pinkfag commented 1 year ago

And no problem! It was fun to working on it and with you, and it's good to know that someone will be actively updating it. If only the thread had more helpful anons like you, and less shitposters who have fun annoying others.
