Mist Crashes Application #508

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make sure growl is uninstalled (so it falls back to Mist)
2. Open up project in xcode, link up Growl.framework (1.3.1) properly
3. Run the program, click on the button in the Window to create a bunch of
notifications
4. Wait for a second
5. Click on one to close it.
6. Wait while application, and xcode crashes.

What is the expected output?

It to not crash.

What do you see instead?

It crashes (and takes a lot of things with it)

Reproduced as of 7065:6f7694105f4d on 10.7. To reproduce, build the project and
then run the app (outside of Xcode this problem also crops up). Click the
button to generate Growl notifications, and then click on a Mist notification.

I'm unable to reproduce this with Capster on 10.7 and Growl not running. Most
likely the problem lies in the implementation but it's 2 am here so I'm not
seeing it.

Issue was with [growlDelegate release]; ARC memory management seems to cause
issues with Mist.

Anyways I fixed this by removing this.

Just FYI, this was not causing issues with Growl, only Mist.

So does that mean you resolved your issue? or does there need to be more
investigation?
