Wasn't the functionality of this integration integrated in Home Assistant? #19

A few releases back, Home Assistant added the Google Cloud integration with speech to text support:

Which includes an stt entity to be used with assistants.

I would like to understand whether there would be any benefit of using this integration as opposed to the official.

The official integration has always also Google Cloud text-to-speech (at least had when the official Google Cloud STT was introduced). This integration is still useful if you don't want to have also Google Cloud TTS
