John,

Is it possible to generate a range of units for each sensor?

For example windSpeed in mph, km/h, m/s, knots at each loop. I have tried adding the units tag in weewx.conf but that does not appear to work for me.

You cannot. The units used in the loop data file will be the default unit for that observation in the target report specified.
