Had a duplicate issue, posting my thoughts here.
What do we do instead of hack weeks?
Options that come to mind:
Idea: Once every quarter we spend a work day volunteering for a non-profit as a team.
Cooking classes?
Clef does Hack weeks every quarter. But while creative-work-focused weeks sound nice in theory, they might be tough given our constant customer support demands etc.
Thoughts on alternatives that would still give us all a chance to work on pet projects, inspirations, etc. that are outside of our 'roadmap' or day-to-day responsibilities?
2 or 3 day work-focused creativity days every quarter? Maybe more formally build this time into retreats? Another concept is like "20% time for all employees"-- we could maybe do 10% time.
