I've always loved the 'keyboard computer' look, like the C64/etc. had. To have that type of setup with this new project, yet not go to the expense of including a keyboard in the case, why not make a case that can attach to a keyboard?

My thought was to make a version that was a long 'stick' that sat behind the (PS/2) keyboard, with the ports facing the back and the SD card slot on top. Included in the kit would be a simple awl (a Philips screwdriver with sharp edges) and some extremely cheap-yet-sturdy screw-in rivets like these. Either the (removable) back of the case or a separate mount would have vertical slots to allow positioning of the holes that would need to be drilled into the back edge of the keyboard. (I haven't come across a keyboard yet that didn't have some space along the back somewhere, so drilling the few millimetres necessary to mount the case won't damage anything inside.

The result should anchor the case very solidly to the keyboard, making the whole thing sturdy, neat, and tidy.

i commented on a similar thread on facebook that you can take any normal keyboard, remove the numpad keys, and bolt a box on there. the C16 will likely be the footprint of a raspberry pi.
