Washed colors on kernel 3.0+

I just upgraded (with full wipe system/data/cache/dalvik) from latest beta with 
the 2.6 kernel (beta7) to the latest available today with 3.0 kernel (beta 10.1)
With this version screen colors are "washed out" not vivid as they were before.
If I restore the nandroid of beta 7 everything looks fine again.
I also did some tests.
Screen colors are vivid at boot (while the boot animation is shown) and then 
they FADE away.. it's like the display lowers the color contrast during the 
boot.

No logcat related message can be found.

should help
