USB-C Charging Doesn’t Work #1549

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone X
  2. On what version of iOS is it? 13.5.1 & 13.6 GM
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.10.2
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? MacOS 10.15.5
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? First Party Apple USB-C cable for charging but USB-A to USB-C adapter for jailbreaking

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Jailbreak either of these versions
  2. Try to charge with a USB-C cable after jailbroken

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? My phone should charge but does not. Only able to charge with USB-A to lightning. USB-C to lightning doesn’t function at all.

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? Honestly unsure of this and unable to test this for a while.

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

I'm having the same problem with my iPhone X, the current solution is to use 0.10.1 and select allow untested versions.

I can confirm that this worked for me as well. Not sure what could cause such an issue.

My system configuration is the exact same as @tdadvocate's and I have not noticed this issue, I'll try a bit harder to repro it in a bit

If there is anything I can do to help troubleshoot let me know. I'm more than happy to do what I can to provide additional info.

I've had the same issue with the same device when this update was released. I downgraded to 0.10.1 and it works again.

Some additional info I have just tested. This occurs with the latest build on my raspbian rpi4 as well. For whatever reason it just kills my USB-C. If there is anything I can do to help test further, please let me know and I will do my best to provide the most info possible!

I've tried on both my 2012 MBP and my newly built Ryzen Hackintosh. Now due to the nature of the USB exploit, I was only able to get checkra1n to work on one of the USB controllers with the Hackintosh. It just wouldn't inject it with the primary controller. When 0.10.2 was first released, I updated my device and tried it but wouldn't fast charge. I use a tweak to show the charging wattage plus it didn't vibrate twice like it does when PD is activated. Downgraded to 0.10.1 and it started fast charging again. I haven't tried 10.2 again since it was released. Software is 13.5 on the device and 10.15.6 on both Macs using an Apple Type C-Lightning cable

I’m sr but u said downgrade to 0.10.1 that mean u just use 0.10.1 to JB or re-JB right? After use 0.10.2 to JB and the fast charging is disable. I restore my Iphone by Itunes ios 13.6 and JB by 0.10.1 as u said. But it's not better, still slow charging. I dont know how to fix this. Do u have an idea to help me? Thanks!
