Tutorial: If you re-jailbreak and not getting tweaks loading #1822

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone X GSM
  2. On what version of iOS is it? 14.2
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.12.0
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Hackintosh High Sierra
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? USB 3.0 What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
  6. If you re-jailbreak and not getting tweaks working DO THIS!: go to Cydia, Re-install Cydia Substrate, it will just say "Go back to Cydia" Close it and force respring (I Did it with the app PowerApp) then I reach to get tweaks fully working

What do you expect, and what is happening instead?

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options?

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

I am on odysseyra1n, what should I reinstall?

I was able to re-enable tweaks after re-jailbreaking (without having to use something like PowerApp) by simply downgrading Cydia Substrate to a previous version and then re-springing (and potentially upgrading again). More importantly, I think I have discovered what has been causing the initial crash -- scrolling over to the App Library page, far right.

What causes this?I have it too on iphone 7 with ios 1.2 using checkra1n 0.12.0....

I was able to re-enable tweaks after re-jailbreaking (without having to use something like PowerApp) by simply downgrading Cydia Substrate to a previous version and then re-springing (and potentially upgrading again). More importantly, I think I have discovered what has been causing the initial crash -- scrolling over to the App Library page, far right.

Anyone on checkra1n jailbreak, if your tweaks are not loading: You have to follow these steps:

  1. Rejailbreak!
  2. Open Cydia!
  3. Install PowerApp
  4. Reinstall Cydia Substrate!
  5. Respring using PowerApp!

On Odysseyra1n: You have to re-enable the libhooker.

You can do it by running the libhooker command in NewTerm (sudo /etc/rc.d/libhooker) or

Install PowerSelector and Enable Libhooker from there!
