{TUTORIAL} How To Fix No CheckRa1n App After Jailbreak #1830

Open Cexdexbbl opened 4 years ago

Cexdexbbl commented 4 years ago
  1. JAILBREAK IPHONE USING CHECKRA1N

  2. AFTER YOU HAVE BOOTED NOTHING WILL APPEAR

  3. GO TO SETTINGS>GENERAL>LANGUAGE & REGION> IPHONE LANGUAGE> CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT YOU KNOW

  4. IT WILL APPLY THE LANGUAGE YOU CHOOSE

  5. EXIT OUT OF SETTINGS

  6. CHECKRAIN LOADER SHOULD APPEAR

  7. INSTALL CYDIA; CYDIA, WILL NOT APPEAR AT THIS TIME

  8. GO BACK TO SETTINGS>GENERAL>LANGUAGE & REGION> IPHONE LANGUAGE> AND CHOOSE YOUR ORIGINAL LANGUAGE

  9. LET IT SET THE LANGUAGE

  10. CYDIA WILL APPEAR IN YOUR HOME SCREEN.

It seems you need to re-spring your device to see the bootloader for checkRa1n. This was done on an iPhone 7 running IOS 14.2 Picture : https://ibb.co/j4C06Ws

ivanjermakov commented 4 years ago

Whoops.

what part didn't work?

After step 5 checkrain loader didn't appear. But then I ran checkrain once again and the loader appeared a few seconds after the boot.

It works but, every time I download a jailbreak related app like Cydia,it won’t load unless I change the language

AmineFarouk commented 3 years ago

It’s work for me thanks

chiragvshroff commented 3 years ago

after changing language the loader appears and im able to install cydia but i have to change language to make cydia appear after that none of the tweaks work too

GPopZach commented 3 years ago

Run it using a shortcut. It's under the Scripting category. I've been able to reproduce the issue consistently on an iPhone 10 running the final 14.2 developer beta, and it is consistently displayed in the context menu for the "Open App" action from shortcuts. The other "fixes" I've seen have been spotty and inconsistent, I have yet to see a shortcut not work for either the checkra1n application or Cydia..

  1. JAILBREAK IPHONE USING CHECKRA1N
  2. AFTER YOU HAVE BOOTED NOTHING WILL APPEAR
  3. GO TO SETTINGS>GENERAL>LANGUAGE & REGION> IPHONE LANGUAGE> CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT YOU KNOW
  4. IT WILL APPLY THE LANGUAGE YOU CHOOSE
  5. EXIT OUT OF SETTINGS
  6. CHECKRAIN LOADER SHOULD APPEAR
  7. INSTALL CYDIA; CYDIA, WILL NOT APPEAR AT THIS TIME
  8. GO BACK TO SETTINGS>GENERAL>LANGUAGE & REGION> IPHONE LANGUAGE> AND CHOOSE YOUR ORIGINAL LANGUAGE
  9. LET IT SET THE LANGUAGE
  10. CYDIA WILL APPEAR IN YOUR HOME SCREEN.

As an aside, are you kidding me? Change your language setting? You just tried a bunch of random shit, got lucky that it started working on that one, and act like you found a fix 😒 @nullpixel @Siguza @DanyL @jacc Can we get this issue closed? It makes this idiot's random monkey solution look like some kind of official fix.

@Zachpocalypse : Thanks. Your solution works perfectly

Glad I could help. Solutions based on a knowledge of the problem tend to be more effective than randomly smashing a keyboard 😆 The plist format is slightly different in 14.2 and checkra1n doesn't account for that in the way it adds the wrapper application and Cydia. If the source was available I'd submit a PR but 🤷🏻

Its because resetting the language, resprings the phone. therefore fixing the app not showing. Its one of the only ways to respring without the app or cydia.

Thank you so much. I have been trying to fix this for a couple of days now and this fixed it.

Worked for me. I signed up for GitHub so I could say thank you for posting this.

skaterkay95 commented 3 years ago

Dude!! I hade to make a GitHub account to thumbs up your post and thank you! I was trying for hours today trying to figure this out on my iPhone 8+ Running ios 14.7 I would jailbreak, get errors and when checkra1n finally worked said “ALL DONE” The loader was no where to be found. So I kept restoring my iTunes backup on my iPhone (64gb wasn’t fun to keep restoring) and rejailbreaking it to no avail. I tried so many things on YouTube and google and nothing worked. Then I seen your post and was like “No way that’ll work” but it worked first try like a charm!! Thank you again man, you rock!!

VictorDeGallegos commented 3 years ago

It works for me you're a crack

More than 4 months trying to jailbreak and I just had to change the language.

Though it's a "funny fix", it works. At least this "fix" showed up first in my google search, lol. Thanks :)
