Error lockdownd (lockdown -17) #1857

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone 8
  2. On what version of iOS is it? iOS 14.0.1
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.12
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Ubuntu & Ra1nUSB
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? USB-A Apple and 3rd party cable

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Jailbreak with Checkra1n 0.12

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? i dont know

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? same

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? use minausb to patch the usb restriction but same error code

Since I've closed a bunch of issues as duplicate of this one now:

We do consider this a bug. However, as a workaround, pairing your device with the host should get rid of this (the thing where you get a popup on your device and are asked whether or not to "trust" the host).
