Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone SE (iPhone 8,4)
  2. On what version of iOS is it? 14.4
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.12.2
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? 2012 Macbook Pro, MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? USB-A to lightning

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Attempt to jailbreak
  2. Gets to "right before trigger"
  3. Exploit fails with code -31 ...

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? I expected to see the device boot into checkra1n. I can't figure out why the exploit would fail.

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? No.

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? Yes.

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? Using Procursus/libhooker/odysseyra1n bootstrap, installed following the guide at https://ios.cfw.guide/installing-odysseyra1n Device used to jailbreak just fine, and boots to stock fine still. Just exploit fails for some reason.
