Checkra1n Linux Freezes on A11 Devices #2084

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone 8 Plus
  2. On what version of iOS is it? iOS 14.5 & iOS 14.5.1
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? Checkra1n 12.3 Linux Version, and some bootable version (Just a Tech, Checkn1x)
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Ubuntu 20.04 & Windows 10
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? USB-A What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
  6. Options
  7. Allow Untested & Skip A11
  8. Back
  9. Freezes ...

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? I expect that it won't freeze

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? No

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? Yes

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

No, It was clean restored.

I have the exact same issue, iOS 14.5.1 iPhone X. Completely wiped device and still nothing

I found the solution, use CLI mode.

I found the solution, use CLI mode.

I have tried that as well, I will try again when I get off work and let you know.

CLI mode does nothing. Freezes as soon as I plug in device. Freezes when my device is already plugged in.
