iPad / iPad mini support? #2135

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPad mini 5th gen/iPad Air
  2. On what version of iOS is it? iOS 14.4/12.5
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.12.4 beta
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Linux Ubuntu 20.04 on a VM (Oracle VirtualBox)
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? The cable which came with the iPad

It says it's an unsupported device and I'm wondering why. Is there something different between it and a phone?

iPad mini 5 and iPad Air 3 are A12. The BootROM exploit doesn't work there.
