Error talking to lockdownd (Error -8) #2150

  1. What iDevice are you using? iphone X
  2. On what version of iOS is it?14.4
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using?0.12.4
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? os x 10.11.6
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? official usb a cable What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
  6. jailbreak once
  7. download snowboard and respring extension 3.download a pack for respring extention
  8. respring
  9. respring starts looping
  10. restart iphone(this will unjailbreak it)
  11. rejailbreak until the apple and checkra1n logo boot
  12. phone turns off( and will not turn on until reset)
  13. checkra1n says "error talking to lockdownd (error -8)"

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? It should jailbreak, but isn't

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? no

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? no

jailbreaking in safe mode and deleting the snowboard extension then jailbreaking again solved the problem
