Unable to enter dfu mode

Tell us about your setup:

1. What iDevice are you using? - iPhone 6
2. On what version of iOS is it? - iOS 12.5.4
3. What version of checkra1n are you using? v0.12.4 as well as v0.12.1 and v 0.10.2
4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Tried on Mac and Linux both
5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? USB-A 3rd party cable as well as original apple USB-A cable

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

1. Start checkrain and follow steps till dfu mode page
2. Follow dfu mode page steps 3.fail to enter dfu mode ...

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? Expect the device to enter dfu mode and procede with jailbreak But end up rebooting the phone , as soon as the checkrain app moves to step 3 on dfu mode page

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? No , just simple restart

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options?

Yes Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

same problem on iphone 5s and linux, suspecting the 3rd party cable

i get it to dfu in mac os but then it disconnect and cant get the app to connect to my ip 8 anymore

I fixed my problem it seems the as i suspected it was the cable

try it with another cable if ur using a 3rd party one

i try 2 different apple cable from ip 11 and ip12 but it still didnt work

my iphone X cannot enter dfu mode also, I followed exactly the instructions on display
