Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iphone 8
  2. On what version of iOS is it? 14.71.1
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? version beta 0.12.4
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? OS version
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? adapter

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Jailbreak your iphone 8 with checkra1n
  2. restart your phone notice how the uncover app is not there anyone, only cydia, but that app doesn't open
  3. connect it to your computer and should get a message saying this "iPhone 8 (Global) connected in DFU mode. ECID: 0x439841a8b002e Please connect device in Normal/Recovery mode or run checkra1n in CLI mode" ...

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? I just want my phone 8 back to normal without the jailbreak, my phone is on DFU mode and a black screen.

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? no

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? yes

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

Your iOS version cannot be iOS 14.71, please refill the form. You cannot simply reply OS version for question 4.

To exit DFU mode, you have to hold the off button(side off not home) and the volume down button. After holding them down for 4 seconds, release the off button(the side one) and keep holding the volume down button and your phone should go back to a normal state.

Maybe OS loss . (JK. But might possible) exit dfu by hard reset you iPhone (google it) or just use checkra1n to jailbreak again (/Application/checkra1n.app/Contains/MacOS/checkra1n -cvV) if can't jailbreak that might be read OS loss
