Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone 6
  2. On what version of iOS is it? iOS 12.4
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? Beta 0.12.4
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Host system: MacBook Pro 13" 2020 macOS Catalina 10.15.7
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? 3rd party cable(usb to android with adapter to lightning), through usb to type c(also third party) What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
  6. Using checkrain to jailbreak
  7. Hunting for the app like a fool

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? I expect the checkrain app to show, after waiting for 5 minutes+ still doesn't show up

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? No

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? Haven't tried

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? No errors/screenshots to show

hello i had this same issue on the iphone 6s but on ios 14.6. I was able to fix it by using this shortcut https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/ae6c3007654948869422556e16537678 (checkra1n) and after installing cydia use this shortcut to open cydia https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/16f77d2e074a4327ab12619983ce7bb5 . once u open it with the shortcuts it should appear on your homescreen now and u dont need the shortcuts to open them again.

also when ur installing apps like filza from cydia and they dont appear after installation then open the shortcuts app then click on the plus icon on the top right then tap add action then type open app in the search bar then click the choose on the action then search the app u downloaded like filza then next then add name then tap done then run the shortcut it should take u to the app now and it will appear on ur homescreen.

hope this helps.

Shortcut is fine (I know it will make the job done ) but if you wanna try something hardcore, keep your device plug after jailbreak ,open terminal and do "iproxy 2222 44" then open new terminal tab and run "ssh root@localhost -p 2222" then type password "alpine"(default root password) after successfully ssh to device do "uicache --all --respring" then it should appear on your Home Screen. If still not,do "uicache -p /var/binpack/Applications/loader.app/" it should now appear

This doesn't work as shortcuts isn't a thing on iOS 12.4 😭 thanks for replying!

running uicache -all is what makes it disappear 2nd command only works when using odysseyra1n
