usb error -63 #2186

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Just do a normal jailbreak

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? there is an "cable issue" code= -63

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? no

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options? i dont know

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? -63

This sounds really stupid, but I’ve figured out if you flip your lightning cable connection (the connector that goes into your device) it solves the issue. It seems both sides of the cable aren’t the same when it comes to jail breaking. This does only cause issue on initial jailbreak when waiting for the checkra1n app to show up, any other ones it’s not an issue
