Tell us about your setup:

Running beta 0.12.4 on Ubuntu..

  1. What iDevice are you using?

iPhone 8 Plus

  1. On what version of iOS is it?

IOS Version 16.1.1

  1. What version of checkra1n are you using?

Beta 0.12.4 from apt repo

  1. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)?

4.15.0-140-generic #144-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 19 14:12:35 UTC 2021 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux Xenial

  1. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)?

USB Hub, but tried on another system directly to USB port

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Install checkra1n from repo
  2. Run checkra1n 3.Phone goies into rescue mode 4.Allow untested, Safe Mode, Skip All BPR checks 5.Start ...

What do you expect, and what is happening instead?

Expect it to install the jailbreak, instead it starts the CONN, progress bar increments twice to app 60%, and then it throws the 'Right before trigger...' error, and hangs, and requires a Control-C to exit.

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? Screenshot from 2022-11-28 11-52-53 Screenshot from 2022-11-28 11-49-53 Screenshot from 2022-11-28 11-49-08

No..

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options?

Yes..

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

For the record, I was able to get a little farther, by manually putting the phone in DRU mode, and then running the CLI version of checkra1n -c -s -v -V.

But now it just hangs at.. "you should now have code execution".
