JB fails on Mac mini M1 #2342

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? - iPhone 7
  2. On what version of iOS is it? - iOS 14.7.1
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? - 0.12.4
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? - mac mini M1, macOS 13.2.1
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? - USB-A by Apple (no hub).

What are the steps to reproduce the issue? Follow the instruction.

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? Expected successful jailbreak. What I got:

  1. Device goes to DFU successfully.
  2. Checkra1n recognize the phone.
  3. Checkra1n stuck on "Checking if device is ready".
  4. The phone starts in normal mode, without jailbreak.
  5. Checkra1n says error.

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error? No

Same steps, same phone, same cable on MacBook Pro with Intel does JB successfully.

M1 Max MacBook Pro here. Exact same issue on macOS 13.2.1. But it does work with older systems, so my best guess is something changes in macOS.

Which Mac OS version able to do it on m1?

Which Mac OS version able to do it on m1?

I forgot the exact version but I am sure any version before 13.0 will work. The bug might be introduced between 13.1 and 13.2
