Error -31 #2361

Tell us about your setup: Windows 10 PC running virtual box thats running Linux Ubuntu

  1. What iDevice are you using? Iphone se 1st gen
  2. On what version of iOS is it? IOS 14.4.2
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? 0.12.4
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Linux Ubuntu 22.04.2 running on virtual box for windows
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? Apple USB A to lightning cable into IO ports on front of PC What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
  6. "sudo checkra1n" in terminal
  7. Check Safe mode and Untested IOS devices in options
  8. Press run
  9. After "Right before trigger" error -31 pops up
  10. done this multiple times after multiple restarts, uninstalls, and reinstalls

What do you expect, and what is happening instead?

jailbreak to work but error -31 keeps showing up

Did you see a popup on the device stating it entered "Safe Mode" due to an error?

no

Does the issue also occur if you tick "Safe Mode" in the checkra1n options?

yes

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...?

no only error -31 error 31

I am facing the same issue. I made a bootable USB using 3utools and tried to jailbreak Ipad Mini 3. It returns Error code -31. I also tried to jailbreak using MacOS (hi sierra) in VMWare and it returns the same error.
