Stuck at Right before trigger #784

Closed fhc5326 closed 4 years ago

fhc5326 commented 4 years ago

Tell us about your setup:

  1. What iDevice are you using? iPhone 5s
  2. On what version of iOS is it? 12.4.3
  3. What version of checkra1n are you using? GUI or CLI? CLI
  4. What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Debian Linux Buster 10
  5. How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? USB-A

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Run checkra1n -p
  2. Run Jailbreak as usually 3.Stuck at Right before trigger 4.Nothing happened

What do you expect, and what is happening instead?

Stuck, unable to start the machine.

Does the issue also occur if you enable Safe Mode?

Unable to boot.

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? I also try without any option, and I still unable to get pass Right before trigger. I try GUI but it still stuck. I'm going to try macOS version to get pass.

Any chance your screen looks like this, saying "Pongo shell requested"?:

Same device same problem, although I’m on iOS 12.4.4. My iPhone 6 worked just fine with same cable and same USB port.

Same problem here: -iPad Mini 2 Wi-Fi -Original usb cable -Ubuntu 19.10

I tried GUI and CLI several times, the problem is always the same... In safe mode i get usb error -77 I guess we'll have to wait a little longer

On Linux:No. On macOS:Yes,but stuck.

Well, I feel like there's two groups of people here: those who boot with the -p flag, and those who don't.

When booting with -p, the device is explicitly told not to boot iOS, but to spin up a USB connection that can be used with PongoKit. Truth be told, the checkra1n host side isn't exactly polished and you'll still get a bootstrap upload timeout, but this isn't really something end users would have any use for anyway.

In that spirit, I'm gonna close this issue as "working as intended", and ask that:
