Checkra1n Not Sideloading Checkrain App on Rejailbreak #819

Tell us about your setup:

What iDevice are you using? iPhone 8 Plus On what version of iOS is it? 13.3 What version of checkra1n are you using? GUI or CLI? CLI 0.9.8 What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Ubuntu 19.10 How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? Directly to my PC with the Apple USB Cable What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

  1. Restart the iPhone (To put it into a Non Jailbroken State again)
  2. Rejailbreak the Device
  3. Search for Checkra1n app

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? Expected: The Checkra1n App being present happening: Checkra1n App missing and Cydia being able to work just fine

Does the issue also occur if you enable Safe Mode? yes

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? Ubuntu 19.10 was installed cleanly before the Jailbreak, Initial Jailbreak was done on a Hackintosh OS with 0.9.7 frontend stays at Entered Download Mode

Force a respring (via any way you use, I use powerselector). & it magically re-appears, I had this also, only on 0.9.8 though.

On what version of iOS is it? 12.4.4

What version of checkra1n are you using? GUI or CLI? CLI 0.9.8 (x86_64)

What is your host system (OS version? Hackintosh? VM? etc.)? Live boot try version of Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS

How are you connecting to the device (USB-A? USB-C? Apple/3rd party cable? Through a USB hub?)? Directly to my PC with the aftermarket USB Cable (but this cable worked with 0.9.7 on MacBook)

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

Jailbreak the device with 0.9.7 with MacBook Restart the jailbroken iPhone (to put it into a non-jailbroken state again) Rejailbreak the device with 0.9.8 with Live-boot Ubuntu try-version, followed Saunders Tech's guide (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvElwsUOLFY) Search for Checkra1n app

What do you expect, and what is happening instead? Expected: The Checkra1n App being present somewhere Happening: Checkra1n App missing and Cydia being able to work just fine. Most tweaks also work fine, some small compatibility issues but those are the tweaks problems...

Does the issue also occur if you enable Safe Mode? Yes

Any other info, error logs, screenshots, ...? I use Installer (5) for getting tweaks, works faster and smoother than Cydia. Also, suddenly my home-button started to work like the power-button, at least with single-press. It just locks the phone... Double-click does work as supposed though (brings up switcher) and long-press too (siri). I think this is indirectly a tweaks problem, but after uninstalling the latest downloaded tweaks, it still occurs... So I powered my phone down again, right now it's unjailbroken but working fine. I still have Filza, Cydia, Installer and Appellancy on the homescreen, all not working. (But I know that's normal, because it's not jailbroken 😄)

I hope you can fix this, because I can't do a system restore without the Checkra1n Loader, which I do want to try before really jailbreaking again...
