Questions about PongoOS

I have several questions and I'm assuming this is the best place to ask them.

Is Pongo a bootloader for the XNU kernel?
If so, does that mean it can be used as a minimal alternative to something like OpenCore for just booting the XNU kernel?
Is x86_64-none-darwin supported? I couldn't seem to get it to build for x86_64 on a intel mac by changing the ARCH variable.
