The extends the sparse information currently available on nodes:

getNodeParentBySyspath: Returns the parent node of a node.
getSysattrBySyspath: Returns additional information on a node.
getNodeChain: Returns a list of a node and all its parents with extended information for each.
getNodeDetails: Returns an object with lists of extended information of a node and its parents.

You may want to write a small example into samples/ for this set of functions. Or separate examples if the functionality is unrelated.
