Ubuntu 16.4, Unity

Tried suggested solution: curl -s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/iabem97/komorebi/master/data/Other/postrm | bash -s With following error: Kein derartiges Schema »org.nemo.desktop«(eng: no such scheme ...)

Issue is still not solved. But i realized, that the solution just tries both nemo and nautilus, therefore the other message has no effect. But still, i cant use the desktop anymore. I actually build komorebi from git today in order to check the other uninstall method. But this: sudo make uninstall Is also not working. If its any help: I am using the Numix theme for Unity and therefore the unity tweak tool. Maybe there is some kind of interference.

Did you get it to work, finally? I am facing a similar issue - my desktop is broken and no right click works.

Well I stumbled upon this issue after trying out komorebi and purging it after a short time again. Not only was I not able to right click on my desktop anymore, I also lost control over my background image and was stuck with the ubuntu default wallpaper. What I did was pretty simple:

  1. opened (Unity) Tweak Tool
  2. selected "Desktop" on the left panel
  3. checked "Icons on Desktop" (without checking any of the listed possibilities)

Voila, background image changed and right click worked again.

I suppose whatever setting was overwritten by komorebi got fixed by the unity tweak tool. I hope I could help, cheers!
