Unable to load custom video wallpaper #264

I tried creating a video wallpaper but every time I try to use it, I only see the thumbnail. I renamed the thumbnail to wallpaper.jpg and the video to video.mp4. I also modified the config file to make the video name match.

I don't know if this is related but I get this error when running in command line ** (komorebi:3773): CRITICAL **: 23:22:30.386: file komorebi.p/src/Utilities.c: line 1142: uncaught error: Key file contains line “[Info]” which is not a key-value pair, group, or comment (g-key-file-error-quark, 1)

I have no clue where this file is and how to modify it properly. Also I'm on Arch

I had a similar issue, I even copied a default config and renamed the video filename to match to see if it was a config issue. Its not. Only difference here is I gave no thumbnail when creating my video wallpaper. It doesnt show up in the list of wallpapers at all, even doing the sudo mv command that returned no errors.

I made sure to install all dependencies to make sure video wallpapers work, as the default video wallpapers loaded just fine.

I, too, used a mp4 video if that matters. I am on Pop!_OS (21.04)

@VirusRenamon my video did not show up in list of wallpapers when I used it without a thumbnail. But it showed up after I added a thumbnail. Maybe this can help you.
