New monitors / Raspberry Pi "Pi Day" Sat 2020-03-14 #10

Hi folks, I've deposited six 1680x1050 16:10 22" DVI/VGA+audio monitors upstairs at the space. At the moment they have HDMI->DVI adapters but I may change these to HDMI->VGA+Audio as the monitors do have sound. In theory they remain the property of Cotswold Raspberry Jam and might be taken away for the occasional kids' coding roadshow (e.g. Science Festival); in reality so long as they're not hacked or removed from the space, feel free to use them.

This Saturday 14 March, Andy J and I will be running a small Cotswold Raspberry Jam event using both the upstairs rooms, from setup at 09:30am to teardown at 5pm. This will be three child-friendly coding tutorials, 10 places per tutorial:

11am Addressable RGB LEDs in Python (2 tickets still available) 1pm Maze Game in Scratch (2 tickets still available) 3pm Minecraft Dungeon in Python (fully booked)

Free tickets: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/cotswold-jam-pi-day-sat-march-14-2020-tickets-96323037799

Children will not be allowed in the downstairs workshop areas unless VERY closely escorted by Andy J, as the workshops contain far too many serrated lasery crushy toxicy death things.

As well as Andy J and myself, two or three other Cotswold Jam volunteers will be present.
