For as far as I know, the NOS streams will not playback via dvdplayer. But the
lastest version of XOT has the option to start the playback of NOS streams via
the
DVD Player in the context menu. Just focus on an episode and press the context
menu
button.

Check your logfile of XOT and you will see that if you select "Play using
DVDPlayer"
it will start playing using DVDPlayer. The fact that XBMC than crashes, well,
that is
XBMC's problem. DVDPlayer is not good in handling streams.

i just noticed you can rewind/forward mov files form websites.when i went to
the rss
feeds of the site of nova www.novatv.nl/ i could make of the url a m3u
file.and
than play this file on the xbmc with rewind/forward function working .
But when i wanted to play the show Nova on http://www.uitzendinggemist.nl
(instead of
www.nova.tv ) and make of this url a m3u file and paste on my xbmc.
it didn't start playing .also only playing from the url on xbmc it didn't do
anything.
maybe some sort of security?
Are you able to fix this problem and make it able to play mov files
from http://www.uitzendinggemist.nl .so we can rewind/forward in shows of
uitzendinggemist.nl

Not all media files are available in MOV format. So no, I cannot change that. I
think
you should post on the XBMC forum. There is problem with the streams of
uitzendinggemist.nl and the codecs in MPlayer.

if the quality is good enough it could be. But www.uitzendinggemist.nl is going
to
change there format (see pilot.uitzendinggemist.nl) so I will focus on that for
now.
