Select a shape by dragging the mouse while being in Edit node of a polyline breaks all the tools #116

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Draw a polyline
2. Enter the Edit node mode of the polyline by clicking on it 
3. Now select the shape by dragging the mouse from a point on the canvas
(not by clicking on the shape)

What is the expected output? 

What do you see instead?

- In Opera 10 beta 3, this makes the shape disappear, it can reappear
randomly. If you draw a new polyline, the points won't be where you expect
them to be.
- In Firefox 3.5x, all tools are broken, you cannot draw anything.
