I'm glad to hear that you think SVG-edit is usable. I'm not sure I understand
what
this Issue is about though. Is it that you want us to dual-license the
software?
I'm not sure that is even required since the Apache license is considered less
restrictive than the GPL. I guess I need to do some more reading...

No. I dont't think there are issues related to the license. i would just want
to see
more plugins for other softwares included with your svg-edit distribution. as i
stated, i want to contribute the one for Fabrik

Yes, I've been recently thinking along the lines that SVG-edit's svgcanvas can
be
considered the base editor 'widget' and then a variety of projects might want to
use/adapt it:
* the HTML editor
* Narendra's whiteboarding application
* a Google Wave gadget
* a slide-making app kind of like a quickie Powerpoint
* etc
Each of these projects might only use some of the features of the svgcanvas.
Each of
these projects might also provide some additional functionality to the
svgcanvas that
we can consider rolling in to base functionality.
Not sure how it will all sort itself out eventually, but looking forward to your
contribution :)

Christian, can you clarify specifically what this Issue should entail?
Original comment by codedr...@gmail.com

sure. this should be the page that opens the canvas-editing page (onto
self-window or
in a pop-up) for any chosen HTML form element of type text or textarea. it
should be
some sort of server-side (think PHP, Google appengine, ASP) that is able to
access
the edited svg data and store it in a variable.
conversely, if the dataset is not empty, it should display the image
(thumbnail) of
the SVG data with a little button next to it, for editing (related to

Looks like this issue is about telling you where it becomes used. :)
I have added it to the extension repository of MoinMoin wiki software. An
example of
the current css layout is given at http://moinmo.in/ReimarBauer/SvgEditor
Later on I plan to add it to moin-2.0. I have not followed your release cycles.
Can
you give a rough idea for 2.4?
By now it works great! (Besides the two issues I have to fix because of my
changes)
I have added to the save approach a simple loading mechanism so that I can save
and
load to a wiki attachment file, see issue 60.
cheers
Reimar

Going through the bugs today and I'm still confused on what this issue is for.
Christian, can you clarify the specific goal and deliverable of this Issue?
Then we
can modify the Summary so that it is clear.
If this is not an actionable issue, I would like to just mark it as Invalid.
Thanks,
Jeff

Marking as invalid since no response for over a month. Can always re-open if
this
issue is clarified with clear requirements on a deliverable.
