If you add a user defined concept and select an existing concept from the autocomplete, the label field states "Subject Area (concept)" and the N3 submission sees this label and associates with the concept, so the concept now has two labels - Subject Area and Subject Area (concept). This started occurring after we appended the most specific type to the end of the results from the autocomplete.

Adding the flagClearLabelForExisting flag to the template and customForm JavaScript clears the label from the input if the URI exists, so the label with the type at the end will not be added to the n3.

After some discussion, it would be useful to create another JIRA issue for post 1.8 work for reviewing this flag and whether this behavior should be made default.
