If you use the GUI to add an author to an article, you can start typing the author's last name and VIVO will suggest some possible completions. If you choose one of the completions:

Attaching screen-shots.

Interesting, I can't seem to reproduce this. I wonder if a specific set of conditions beyond running 1.10 are needed.

Thanks, Benjamin (and Graham on Slack).

So far, I have this:  ||VIVO||OS||Java||Tomcat||Browser||Status|| |1.9|MacOS 10.13.3 High Sierra|1.8.0_131|7.0.53|Chrome 72.0.3626.121 (64-bit)|SUCCEEDS| |1.10|MacOS 10.13.3 High Sierra|1.8.0_131|7.0.53|Chrome 72.0.3626.121 (64-bit)|FAILS| |1.10|MacOS 10.13.3 High Sierra|1.8.0_131|7.0.53|Firefox 64.0.2 (64-bit)|SUCCEEDS| |1.10|MacOS 10.13.3 High Sierra|1.8.0_131|7.0.53|Safari 11.0.3|SUCCEEDS|

(Yes, I know I should update my Tomcat.)

  Odd.... ||VIVO||OS||Java||Tomcat||Browser||Status|| |1.10|MacOS 10.14.3 Mojave|1.8.0_152|8.5.24|Chrome 72.0.3626.119 (64-bit)|SUCCEEDS|

I'll see if upgrading Chrome changes anything.

Upgraded Chrome to Version 72.0.3626.121 (Official Build) (64-bit) and am still not seeing the issue, sorry. I suppose it could be related to the Tomcat version but that doesn't seem likely.

As Graham indicated on Slack, the issue can be replicated when you use the enter key, rather than the mouse, to select the author.
