对华援助协会关于王怡牧师被判重刑的声明

对华援助协会根据刚刚收到的四川成都市中级人民法院发布的网上公告得知，成都秋雨圣约教会主任牧师在被当局非法关押1年多后，经过12月26日秘密审讯于北京时间2019年12月30日上午被以完全莫须有的所谓“煽动颠覆国家政权罪”和“非法经营罪”判处王怡牧师有期徒刑9年，剥夺政治权利3年，没收个人财产5万元。

对华援助协会必须严正指出，对成都秋雨圣约教会和其他中国教会的持续严酷的迫害，对一个和平的归正福音教会传道人王怡牧师的重判，是中共政府一手施行的地地道道的宗教迫害。表明习政府与普世福音教会和普世价值决然为敌。全世界拥抱基本人权和宗教自由的人士都应该强烈谴责。对华援助协会也同时希望习政权明白，这种对永生上帝在中国的教会迫害打压，不仅不会吓到消灭教会，反而会使持守真道勇敢前行的中国教会加倍增长。“那用脚踢刺的是难的。” 。

对华援助协会接下来会在国际社会发起系列行动，继续曝光中共宗教迫害的恶行，推动中国的宗教自由和法治。

China Aid Statement on China’s Severe Sentence against Pastor Wang Yi

This morning on December 30 (Beijing Time) Pastor Wang Yi was sentenced to 9 yrs imprisonment at the Intermediate People’s Court of Chengdu City, Sichuan province. He was tried secretly in December 26. He was accused with two trumped charges of “instigating subversion of state power “ and “ illegal business management” for being the senior pastor of Early Rain Covenant Church. Furthermore, along with the 9 years sentence, he was sentenced with deprivation of his political rights for 3 years with RMB 50,000 Yuan($7,000) penalty. “This is a pure case of unjust religious persecution against a peaceful preacher of a Chinese Reformed church. This grave sentence demonstrates the Xi’s regime is determined to be enemy to the universal values and religious freedom,” said Dr. Bob Fu, “ we call upon the international community to stand up to CCP regime and hold this evil regime accountable.” China Aid believes the persecution against God’s church will never be successful. The new wave of persecution will only accelerate the growth of the church in China.
