So, I'm fairly certain that your ideal solution for this will be #65 - but just wanted to document this here.
If the person running the tests has a retina screen, and the test runner is a different pixel density, then there will be tiny pixel differences that cause an error.
Another nice intermediate solution here would be the ability to set a threshold of allowed difference.
