BoxOffice not refreshing/updating #55

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open BoxOffice week to week
2.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
updated information; not updated information

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.2 on iPhone (2g)

Please provide any additional information below.

anyone else having this problem, since the developers aren't looking into
this anymore, here's a temporary workaround. you just have to force the
app to reload by doing one of the following:

-if you know a movie is playing at a theater you want to go to, search for
the movie, then search for the theater, this will force a refresh
-go change your zip code to something else, and then change it back
-really anything to change and then reset should force the refresh.
-or use the app Showtimes (it has refreshed every time I open it, but also
has a Refresh option!); I like BoxOffice, because I can set the ratings to
be from RottenTomatoes.com, which I prefer, but I use Showtimes to confirm
that what BoxOffice says is playing at my theater, still actually is. But,
should I lose BoxOffice, I can't get it back right now; Showtimes is still
available on the App Store.

Please put a refresh option on BoxOffice. :) (but I guess I wouldn't be
able to get the update anyway, since it's not on App Store...shucks)

I don't understand why this was filed twice. You also mentioned *again* that
i'm not looking into these issues. I
*am*.

I will consider a 'refresh' option. Though i don't see the point. BoxOffice
already refreshes automatically.

I couldn't see my changes on the closed issue and wanted others to benefit from
the
workaround that was working for me. I basically just copied/pasted and my
comment
about the developer not looking into this anymore came from the status being
set to
"WontFix".

Thanks for taking the time to look into our issues and sorry if we don't all
check
email often enough (4 days isn't really that long).

No offense was meant, just wanted an app that I liked very much to work
properly.
This issue (55) is now marked invalid. So, I think I'll just give up. :( I
see that
your app is back on App Store with a new name. I'm giving it a shot.

I see what you are saying. However... you must admit in can be rather
difficult to swallow when one is accused
of not "looking into this anymore". If it takes you 4 days to respond... then
i think giving me at least 2 days is
reasonable :)

I'm sorry if I offended, I simply thought that the WontFix status meant the
issue was
closed. :)
