Page doesn't render when its tab becomes the current tab #636

Please describe the issue:

The page http://studio.html5rocks.com doesn't repaint when I switch to another
tab and return to that tab in Chrome. I just see the previous tab's content
(though no longer interactive). If I move the mouse over a part of the page
that causes it to repaint, suddenly the whole page is rendered.

I suspect it is a chrome bug, but maybe there is an issue with the way these
html5 apps do animation.

Please provide any additional information below.

Chrome 14.0.835.202 m
Windows 7, 64-bit

Is this still an issue? It's working for me on Mac 18 (Dev channel).

I discovered that the problem is likely with my Toshiba laptop: it has a USB
connected "port replicator" (dynadock), and high-speed/full-screen graphics
updates just doesn't work at all well, regardless of the application. So, not
a chrome bug.
