dshowserver pegs CPU with blank screen #30

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Patched mythtv 0.21 (r17395) with dshowserver patch.
2. Play h.264 video in mythfrontend.
3. Screen goes blank.
4. CPU usage hits 100% remains that way for many minutes.
5. killed dshowserver
6. killed mythfrontend

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect to see video. Instead the screen goes blank, dshowserver hits 99%
cpu usage and stays there.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

core professional v1.7.0 on mythbuntu 8.04.

Please provide any additional information below.

I do have mplayer working just fine.
I attached my mythfrontend logs, modified my serial # to prevent copying.

You say you have mplayer working 'just fine'. Does this mean that you have it
playing
both 720p and 1080p videos OK?

Can you post information on how you did it? Is it a 32 bit or 64 bit install?

I have got mplayer playing 720p videos fine with mplayer but it chokes with
1080p
using only one core with both 32 and 64 bit installs. I am wondering if it
might be
linked to the combination of options I am invoking mplayer with as I have got
xine-lib/kaffeine working fine with 1080p videos on a 64 bit install - so
coreavc can
do it.

Thanks.

Can you provide an example stream which exhibits this behaviour? It isn't
something
I've seen happen, and the logs don't show anything interesting
