What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Follow installation instructions for mplayer
2. use the codec with mplayer
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
when i force to use the coreavc codec with mplayer, i get the follwowing
output:

Forced video codec: coreserve
Opening video decoder: [dshowserver] DirectShowServer video codecs
sh: dshowserver: Permission denied

sudo is not helping
i think i dont make a mistake at the installation.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Please provide any additional information below.
